You Never Know Who You Can Help

You Never Know Who You Can Help

A few years ago, on the radio, I heard a story from a priest about the beginnings of his priesthood. He was young then, and like every youth – the smartest in the world.

Well, during one of the Masses, he was sitting in the confessional waiting for penitents. As he did not have many volunteers, he listened to the sermon. He marveled at how boring, meaningless, obvious and generally hopeless this sermon was. He concluded this consideration with the observation that, among other things, people depart from the Church through such sermons.
Moments after the sermon was finished, a man approached the confessional. He confessed that he had not gone to confession for 20 years and that he was a coincidence in the church – his friends had a celebration and invited the guests to Mass for them. He confessed that the sermon had touched him so deeply that he wanted to return to the Church and that he started right away – precisely with this confession.
As a result, the priest decided not to judge the sermons of his colleagues no more.

A more prosaic matter – my blog and highly irregular entries on topics scattered like … scattered widely
I used to have one of the posts to which no one reacted. No like, sharing, comment or email with thoughts. Until one day, when I received a several-page e-mail with a meticulously written entry, commented on every fragment of it and … thanks for the thoughts it evoked.
And for a few days I thought that there was no point in writing it. At that time, I could have done something more interesting.

Quiet reader

We need to be aware that sometimes people only consume content. They do not provide the feedback expected by the authors, do not click on likes, do not comment or share. But they absorb content. These contents resonate in them, sometimes change them and make them look at the world a bit differently.
It’s a bit like using a CB radio while driving a car. Some mobiles (especially the small ones) do not use a pear at all. It only waits for traffic information, giving nothing in return. Neither a “thank you” answer, nor information about what is happening around the next corner. Nevertheless, it efficiently processes the acquired information by taking your foot off the gas before the threat at the appropriate kilometer.

A sense of belonging

On the Internet, apart from specific knowledge, the silent part of the readers is glad that they are not alone. That there are people besides her who have similar thoughts, views and interests. He is glad that someone shares their view of the world.

Who knows, maybe thanks to this, at least some of the readers will have the courage and start publishing content that will help another audience change their lives?

I count on it.

say it

So if you have something to say, say so.

Don’t worry about potential haters around you. Don’t worry about raving trash, just change the proportions by adding your valuable content to the pool.
Oh, and don’t worry about the fact that industry professionals can make you laugh about clichés. But why? I explained everything a few months earlier in the entry with the familiar title “Fuck Professionals”.

Let’s do it or as NIKE says – just do it

How will it be? What will you write about first?
Or maybe you won’t write? Maybe you will record a video or a podcast? Or maybe you will take a photo? What formula do you feel best in?

Note to the reader

Dear reader – remember that any form of activity on your part (like, comment, sharing, email, private message, handshake, paper letter, pigeon or whatever) gives authors wings and encourages them to keep working on more content. So don’t spare them. Unless, of course, you’ve found something attractive and valuable for yourself.
